Lindy on the Rocks 2013

Third year going to Lindy on the Rocks, Denvers national Lindy Hop event. This event is filled with workshops with all star instructors, live music, competitions, and hours of dancing.

Every year I get better and better at dancing and this is the event I strive to be better in the competitions. Once again I made finals in the Open Jack n Jill, Slow Lindy, and the open strictly. I reconnected with some awesome out of state dancer friends. One in particular named Skeeter who danced with me in the open strictly. Although I didn't place in this event its was one of the funnest dance weekends.  Next year I'm going to place in the top three.

Kansas City Stomp Lindy Hop Weekend

My second out of state Lindy Hop event. It is always fun to road trip with a group of Lindy Hopper friends and enjoy a weekend fool of dancing. This event was called Kansas City Stomp in Kansas City Missouri. I met a lot of great people and made some really good new friends. I even got an impromptu palm reading.

Although it was really great making now friends, the best part of this event was I place 1st place in the Lindy Hop Competition. It was a big shock I was chosen and chosen but really exciting that this is the first time I placed 1st in a big event like this.
