30th Anniversary of 16th Street Mall in Denver

16th Street mall connects many childhood memories of mine. Seeing it change and grow over the years has been an amazing experience. It is always full of life with shops, street vendors, and street performers. We were asked to perform a Lindy Hop Dance routine for the celebration of 16th Street Malls 30th Anniversary. We performed the Big Cal Routine.

Official Video From City of Denver.

A great photo of us shortly before we started dancing.

Every Child Matters Performancs

CM Dance was asked to do a Swing / Hip Hop dance routine at the capitol building in Denver to promote right for children in schools. Set up by Every Child Matters and CM Dance and Choreographed by Ceth Stifel and Jill Cohen. The dance gathered Denver to perform a well put together dance. It was out of my comfort zone but it was still fun and I loved dance no matter what the style.

Here is the official video.

Red Hat Society Performance

I was asked by CM Dance to participate in a swing dance performance for the Red Hat Society convention that took place at he Marriott in the Denver Tech Center. The performance presented dances from the 1920's through the 1970's. The Diamond Dolls (an all female vintage dance group) per formed a 1920's flapper dance routine. Next, Nick and Sara performed a Lindy Hop routine in the 1930's and 40's part. Marie and I performed a Rockabilly jive performance for the 1950's part. The Diamond Dolls performed the 1960's part with a Go Go Girl Dance. We all ended with a 1970's hustle dance at the end. It was a fun performance and everyone just love the dancing. It was great to make all of those old ladies happy.

Here are the my performance videos.

1950's Jive Performance done to the Bill Haley song "Rock Around the Clock"

1970's Hustle Performance done to the Earth Wind & Fire song "September"

To an unexpected surprise, we were all asked to perform and encore dance.
We did the "Tranky Doo"
